WE DIDN'T SET OUT TO MAKE A PROTEIN BAR.

WHY WE STARTED

It started with a sweet tooth.

We were tired of choosing between desserts made with ingredients we didn't love and "healthy" snacks that never quite satisfied the craving. So instead of settling, we started making our own.

First came high-protein ice cream.

Then we realized we couldn't find chocolate made without refined sugar, so we learned how to make our own using cacao and dates.

(It's the same handcrafted chocolate we still use today on our Sea Salt Chocolate bars.)

That eventually led to homemade peanut butter cups made with just three simple ingredients: cacao, dates and peanut butter.

As we experimented, we started blending dates directly into the peanut butter. Before long, we found ourselves reaching for the filling more often than the cups themselves.

That's when everything clicked.

We started building something around the part we loved most. That simple peanut butter mixture became the foundation of every ntty bar we make today.

BUILT DIFFERENTLY FROM THE START

1

REAL FOOD FIRST

We build our bars around ingredients we'd happily eat on their own and not ingredients designed to survive years on a shelf.

2

FLAVOR COMES FIRST

If it doesn't taste like something you'd actually crave, it doesn't matter how much protein it has.

3

KEEP IT SIMPLE

Every ingredient has a purpose. If it doesn't make the bar taste better or work better, it doesn't belong.

4

QUALITY OVER CONVENIENCE

We'd rather keep our bars refrigerated than fill them with preservatives. Some things are worth doing the right way.
